Dubare is known for its elephant camp, a forest camp on the banks of the river Kaveri in the district of Kodagu, Karnataka.

The elephants for the Mysore Dussehra were trained at Dubare elephant camp.
At the Dubare Elephant Camp, a visitor can spend hours simply watching Elephants and of course, knowing more about them. A trained Naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. The visitor can not only observe and learn but also participate in various activities like bathing , feeding to Elephants
Time to Visit : Really very fun place for kids as well as for adult.
If you want to see the elephants being bathed and want a ride too, good to reach by 09 AM.The rush starts from 10AM .You must go this place in morming time to have more fun.
Kaveri River Funtime : There is proper road to the Dubare camp on the bank of river Kaveri however, the camp is located on the other side of the river kaveri. One can use the local bating facility to cross the river and see the elephant during the day visit. The boating facility costs Rs. 20 per person. However, there is also a rocky path around, and you can cross the Kaveri by trekking on foot also.
River Kaveri can be used for a lot of fun there. If you are on single day visit, you can take bath at the bank, cross the Kaveri by the boat to see the elephant’s activities in the Dubare elephant camp and you can also do river rafting there.
